Who publishes Cedi Sheet and what it measures
Cedi Sheet is an independent editorial desk. It republishes one measurement from named public sources, with the date and hour it was read, so a reader can check every figure at its publisher.
What the site measures
Cedi Sheet measures one thing: the gap between the Bank of Ghana interbank mid for the latest day and the median of Accra forex-bureau quotes updated within the last week. The interbank mid is the reference rate, taken from the Bank of Ghana's public page. The bureau rate is the median of the quotes that Accra bureaux have published within the last seven days, and the gap is the bureau median over the interbank mid.
Each table names its source directly beneath it and links to that source, so a reader can open the publisher's page and see the same figure. The desk does not add a third source, does not blend sources and does not adjust the numbers. What appears on Cedi Sheet is what the named source showed at the hour the desk read it, and that hour is printed beside the figure.
How the measurement is taken
The desk reads the Bank of Ghana's published interbank mid for the latest day and records it with the date and hour of reading. It also reads the current quotes of Accra forex bureaux, takes the median of those updated within the last week, and records that median with the hour. The gap is then calculated as the bureau median divided by the interbank mid.
A reader who sees a figure can go to the named source, find the same number, and know the moment the desk saw it. Because the hour is republished, a figure that has moved since the desk read it is not presented as a live price. The page shows what the desk observed, not what a reader would see at a different hour.
Why the hour is republished
The hour is republished because the rates change. The Bank of Ghana publishes its interbank mid on its own schedule, and Accra bureaux update their quotes at different times through the week. A figure read in the morning is not the same as a figure read in the evening, and a reader needs to know which one the desk saw.
Without the hour, the figure would look like a promise that it is current. With the hour, it is a dated observation: this was the figure at that moment, as published by that source. A reader who needs a price for a transaction must check the source directly, because the desk does not claim to be a live feed.
The desk and corrections
The editorial desk is responsible for every figure on the page. It reads the sources, records the numbers and the hour, and publishes them. When a reader writes to editor@cedisheetgh.pages.dev with a figure that is wrong, the desk checks the source again. If the figure is wrong, it is corrected and the correction is dated on the page.
The desk cannot answer questions about what a rate will do next, which bureau to use, or whether a transaction is wise. It does not hold client money, is not a broker or an exchange, and gives no advice. Its only job is to read the named sources carefully and to correct a figure when a reader shows that it was misread.
Affiliate disclosure
This site links to one broker, FxPro, through an affiliate link. If a reader clicks that link and opens an account, Cedi Sheet is paid a commission by the broker. The reader pays nothing to this site and nothing extra at the broker; the commission comes from the broker's own funds.
Clicking the link leaves Cedi Sheet and goes to FxPro's own site, which is operated by someone else under its own terms and its own privacy policy. The link does not change any rate on this page, and the desk does not select figures to favour the broker. The affiliate relationship is only this: a reader who opens an account through the link earns a commission for the site.
What the site does not collect
Cedi Sheet has no accounts, no login, no newsletter and no comment form. It sets no cookie of its own, runs no analytics and stores nothing in the reader's browser. The pages are served by a hosting provider which, like any web host, keeps its own technical request logs; the site's publisher does not read a reader's personal data out of them.
Writing to editor@cedisheetgh.pages.dev reaches the desk, and corrections are the reason the address exists. The desk does not collect names or emails for any list, and it does not track a reader across the web. A reader who visits the site leaves no profile behind, because the site is built to show a measurement, not to gather an audience.
