The terms on which these pages are read

Cedi Sheet is an independent editorial desk. It measures one thing: the cedi against the dollar, from public sources, with the date and hour the figures were read. This page states what the desk does, what it cannot do, and how it earns.

Information, not advice

The figures on this site describe what the cedi costs against the dollar at the moment they were read. They are measurements of published sources, not a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any currency. No table, chart, or sentence on Cedi Sheet is investment advice, a recommendation, or an offer. The desk has no view on where the rate should go next, and it does not predict future prices. A reader who acts on these figures does so on their own judgement. If you need advice for your own situation, you must look elsewhere, because this desk is not licensed to give it and will not pretend otherwise.

Because the figures are not advice, the desk does not tailor them to any reader. A person sending money to family, a trader planning a purchase, or a student paying fees all see the same table. The desk does not know who is reading, and it does not want to know. The only thing it offers is a record of what the published rates were at a stated time, so that a reader can compare them and decide alone. That is the whole service, and it is a limited one.

What the desk does

The desk reads named public sources and republishes one measurement: the reference rate and the bureau rate, with the gap between them. The reference rate is the Bank of Ghana interbank mid for the latest business day. The bureau rate is the median of Accra forex-bureau quotes updated within the last week. The gap is the bureau median divided by the interbank mid. Each figure is shown with the date and hour it was read, and the source is named under the table with a link so a reader can check it at its publisher.

The desk checks the sources on a regular schedule. Each time a table is updated, the whole set is read again from the publishers' own pages. If a source is frozen or contradicts itself, the desk notes that the figure is stale and does not publish it as fresh. Corrections are handled the same way: if a reader writes to say a figure is wrong, the desk checks the source, corrects the figure if it is wrong, and dates the correction. The desk answers that address, and that is the reason the address exists.

What the desk cannot do

Cedi Sheet is not a broker, not an exchange, not a licensed adviser, and it holds no client money. It cannot open an account for you, move your funds, or execute a transaction at any rate. The rates shown are not executable prices; they are medians and reference points. A bureau may quote you a different rate than the median shown here, and that is normal. The desk does not know the rate any particular bureau will offer you, and it cannot tell you where to change money. It only reports what the published sources said at the time of reading.

The desk also cannot answer questions about your personal situation. It cannot tell you whether to send money now or wait, whether a rate is good enough, or how much you should change. It has no opinion on those matters and no information about your affairs. If you write to ask what the desk thinks, the answer will be that it does not think anything; it only measures. The desk publishes figures, and the reader decides alone.

How the desk earns

The site links to one broker, FxPro, through an affiliate link. If a reader clicks that link and opens an account, the desk is paid a commission by the broker. The reader pays nothing to Cedi Sheet and nothing extra at the broker because of the link. This is the only way the site earns money. There is no subscription, no paid content, and no fee for anything on these pages. The desk does not sell data or access, and it does not take money from any bureau or bank to show their rates.

The affiliate relationship is stated here plainly, and it is stated again on the page about the publisher. The desk does not run any other advertising and does not accept payment for placement. The figures are not influenced by the broker, and the broker has no say over what is published. The desk earns the same commission whether the cedi is strong or weak, and it has no interest in a reader's currency decision. If you never click the link, the desk earns nothing from you.
